SupportedPlus was established after the reconfiguration of disability services through NDIS. SupportedPlus founders recognised that a gap existed in providing services for people living with a disability, their families and carers within a local community framework.
We talked to people in the community to establish key needs and found that services were provided from outside the community. Consequently, supports and working relationships lacked the connectedness that is key to providing person-centred supports that empower people to live fuller, holistic and balanced lives.
Our staff are passionate about people and have a deep knowledge and understanding of our communities. Our supports, therefore, empower participants to make choices towards their desired goals within familiar surroundings.
