We are currently seeking a domestic cleaner who will go that extra mile to bring a smile to our participants and has a high standard of excellence, an eye for detail and integrity.

Responsibilities
The goal of this position is to conduct routine cleaning duties in homes of our participants. These will include;

  • Vacuuming carpets
  • Sweeping and mopping
  • Tidying rooms, emptying waste bins, removing trash and recyclable material
  • Cleaning and disinfecting kitchens, bathrooms and toilets
  • Cleaning windows and other glass surfaces
  • Documenting cleaning activities according to instructions provided
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

 

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • An awareness of cleaning responsibly
  • An awareness on the use of hazardous cleaning chemicals safely to maintain own health while ensuring the end user’s wellbeing.
  • Ability to handle moderately heavy equipment
  • Proven working experience as a cleaner an added advantage
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Honesty and integrity

 

Mandatory Checks

  • A valid and current Driver’s Licence and reliable roadworthy motor vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
  • National police check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • A mobile phone or device that can access data

 

Physical Requirements
This position requires a basic level of physical fitness. Physical tasks may include reaching, bending, kneeling and lifting.
